Tattoons

As i’ve reflected on 19 years of tattooing a bunch of stories and experiences keep making me laugh. I was wondering how to document those tales in a cool way. Coincidentally i picked up a second hand copy of the complete “calvin and hobbes” collection. Re-reading these wonderful comics by bill watterson it OCCURRED to me that comics would be a fun way of retelling these stories. It’s been a humbling experience looking at the mastery of scene and timing those comics have and then trying to imitate it on some level. It has me interested in revisiting a bunch of comics i love like Jeff Smith’s “bone” and frank cho’s “liberty meadows”. So whether these comics ive started are successful or not it’s been cool that it’s rekindled my love for the medium!
